Cameo Global, Inc. an international leader in business collaboration solutions, announced today that its board of directors has elected Philippe Verhees as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Verhees previously served as the Executive Vice President and Director of Global Sales where he built the company’s sales by $25 million in professional services. Verhees, a citizen of Belgium, will be the first European CEO in the company’s 21 year history.
“After careful deliberation, the board is pleased to have found the best individual to lead this world-class organization. We believe that Philippe’s worldwide expertise makes him the perfect candidate for the job,” said Benjamin R. Stockton, Chairman of the board for Cameo Global and one of the original founders. “Philippe has a track record of strong leadership both inside and outside of his experience with our company. The combination of his extensive industry knowledge, global perspective, and tenure, make Philippe uniquely qualified to lead Cameo Global successfully into the future.”
“Philippe is the best choice from a deep pool of interested and highly qualified candidates,” said Inder Singh, Director, who is the committee chair of mergers and acquisitions for Cameo Global. “He’s been a successful executive here and elsewhere. Even more important, he’s a great fit with each of the four ‘critical leadership competencies’ we evaluated as part of our selection process: strategic agility, business acumen, vision, and mission-driven orientation. We’re delighted that he’s accepted the position.”
“I’m honored and grateful to the board for the opportunity to lead this exceptional organization of dedicated and talented professionals,” said Verhees. “Cameo Global is unique in that we offer proprietary products, including our Cisco Powered collaboration solution, along with managed and professional services worldwide. We produce innovative, relevant, and insightful unified communication solutions. We are building a greater future for our clients and our company.”
To drive global sales operations and implement growth strategy, Verhees will announce other prominent changes to the executive leadership roles effective January 1, 2015.
